“X” Marks The Spot

vitmainc-01beach

I don’t know about you but i cannot wait for some time in the sun. I have been all over the map trying to plan a trip in the upcoming months. I am in a serious need of some Vitamin D. Vitamin D is in relation to the sun in case anyone isn’t on their A-game this morning. I cannot wait to hit the beach with an ice cold beer in hand. Hopefully some of these plans will actually pan out and I’ll be headed for warmer weather in no time!! Not to mention, I think a vacation is necessary. With no time off since Christmas, it is well-deserved too. If you ask me, a vacation is the perfect thing to reward yourself with after working hard. Maybe ill need to buy a new suit too just in case? Yes, i think so!

Here’s to hoping!

Weekend Recap: NYC

This past weekend was beyond amazing. New York is such a great place to visit. Keyword: visit. Although it is wonderful, I don’t think I could ever live there. But that is just my personal opinion — clearly there are many people who would agree with me! The fashion was spectacular — hello, Madison Ave — and the food was even better. This was the boyfriend’s first trip to NYC and I think it safe to say he is a fan, as well. Below are a few (read: A TON) pictures to help review this weekend! We started off Saturday at Freedom Tower and some exploring in the city. Saturday night was a hit with seeing The Book of Mormon (hilarious!). Sunday we visited the MET and took a stroll through Central Park followed by a long walk through the city. Monday was short day in the city but we made a quick stop by The Empire State Building to get some beautiful views of the city. Perfect weekend trip if you ask me! I apologize, pictures uploaded in reverse order so just pretend it was on purpose…

I decided that the rest of this week is deemed as time off. I haven’t had this long of a break since college and I want to fully enjoy it. Have no fear, I will be doing some work on the blog and will be back on Monday! If you’re on vacation like me, enjoy it! I sincerely hope that everyone has the happiest of holidays!

Home for The Holidays!

Tomorrow morning I am waking up bright and early to head home for the holidays! I could not be more excited! I haven’t been home since October and for this home-body, that is a long time. I know what you’re thinking “home-body that moved thousands of miles away? hardly.” But I have to admit, I am very much a home-body. I love my home and my family. Home has always been the equivalent of a happy place for me. Whenever my parents even slightly mention moving out of our house I immediately throw a fit and start laying down any argument possible. I can’t help it — I was born and raised in the same house. There is no other house I want to come home to. No other house would ever be “home” to me. This holiday season after all that has been going on in the world it really makes me appreciate my family that much more. Sure there is guaranteed bickering and chaos with my brothers but that is inevitable. I go home expecting this. But this year, I cannot wait for it all. I love my family so much and I am so blessed to have them. Take me home :)

Now if only I could get a little bit of this for Christmas! Here’s to wishing and hoping!

Safe travels to all and may you have a very happy holiday!
